Maricely Ramírez-Hernández is a Ph.D. candidate from the Rutgers Department of Chemical & Biochemical Engineering working on cost-effective drug delivery systems for wound healing. Originally from Puerto Rico, she completed her bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering at The University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. She has competed in several entrepreneurial competitions and participated in the Rutgers I-Corps site where she has obtained valuable feedback in hopes to one day commercialize her research.
